Meet the Dentist
Dr. Michael E. Bowman, D.D.S., M.A.E.S, F.A.G.D.
Dr. Bowman is a Knoxville native. In 1973, he received his BS Pre-Dentistry degree from the Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville, TN. In 1975, he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Tennessee Center for Health Sciences in Memphis. In January, 1976 he began his practice in Loudon, Tennessee and continues to practice today.
For over 43 years, he has been a member of The American Dental Association, The Tennessee Dental Association, and the 2nd District Dental Society. He has received Fellowships Awards from The Academy of General Dentistry, The Tennessee Dental Association and The American Endodontic Society, in which he also has a Mastership Award. President of Second District Dental Society 2011-2012 and a Pierre Fauchard Academy member for his excellence in the dental profession, 2011.
Dr. Michael E. Bowman was inducted as a Fellow of the International College of Dentists at its 82nd Annual Convocation in Las Vegas, Nevada on October 10, 2011. An honorary organization for the recognition of outstanding and meritorious service to the profession and community, the College presented Dr. Michael E Bowman with a membership plaque, a gold lapel pin and a gold key symbolic of this Fellowship for conspicuous service rendered the art and science of Dentistry. In an impressive cap and gown ceremony, almost 300 dentists from the United States were inducted into the College at this year’s ceremony witnessed by hundreds of members and guests. The college, with representative chapters in more than 80 countries, has over 11,000 members, including about 6,500 in the United States.
Dr. Bowman served as Vice President from East Tennessee on the Tennessee Dental Association’s Board of Directors for the year 2013-2014. In 2014, he was invited to join the Southeastern Association of Prosthodontists. This is a group of outstanding clinicians that have a special interest in crowns, bridges dentures, partials and implant restorations.
His two children work with him at his practice in Loudon. Jason joined the practice after graduation from University of Tennessee College of Dentistry in June 2012 and Jennifer joined in 2010 as a registered dental assistant.
He enjoys attending University of Tennessee Basketball and Football games, traveling and has a love of golf.
Dr. Jason M. Bowman, D.D.S.
Dr. Jason Bowman was born and raised in the Knoxville area. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in bio-chemistry at Maryville College in 2008. He then attended the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry to achieve his degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery in June 2012.
Dr. Jason is a member of the Second District Dental Society, Tennessee Dental Association, American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry and American Endodontic Society. He served as the President of the New Dentist committee to the Second District Dental Society from 2013 to 2016. He has served as a board member of the American Endodontic Society since 2016.
Dr Jason has been a member of the Loudon Rotary Club since 2012 and served as the club president for the 2016-2017 year.
He is married to Julianne Hickman of South Knoxville in 2008 and they currently live in West Knoxville. He enjoys playing golf and soccer and attending sporting events of all kinds.
